Public Service
Realizing that a main reason Amateur Radio
exists is to provide a pool of trained radio operators, PCARC members frequently
give of their time to assist the communities in which they live. This is a
marvelous way in which you as a ham radio operator can help your community and
do so in a way you enjoy - by using your radio skills and equipment! Click
here for more information and upcoming events:

Fox Hunts
From time to time, a "Fox Hunt" (a search to
find a hidden transmitter) is sponsored by PCARC. These fun events can be
enjoyed by non-hams, as all you need is a radio receiver. This is a pretty
good way to expose family members and friends to ham radio... and get a bit of
exercise as well - what a deal! Click here for schedule & more
information: Fox Hunts
Field Day
Each year, the PCARC anticipates and plans
for the ARRL June "Field Day". During this weekend long event, PCARC
members, friends and guests pack up antennas, towers, rigs, generators, tents,
RVs, food, etc. etc. and head off to operate from an outdoor location. The
location of choice is Stratham Hill Park, in Stratham, NH. Click here for
lots of information: Field Day
Contests
Many PCARC members enjoy contesting
and actively participate in these events. If you have a similar interest
or would like to know more about contesting, please click here:

NH QSO Parties
Like contests, QSO parties offer a way for
members, friends and guests to participate in an entry level contest like
operation. This is not only a great way to have fun on the bands, but is
frequently a wonderful opportunity to operate at some pretty fancy "Big Gun"
stations. For more info, try here:
