26 May 2003 - Currently voting on Home page appearance and background color.

Reason for Change:
The home page background had been a greenish-gray, selected as an easy-on-the-eyes color.  The transition to white was necessitated once the new W1WQM / NM1JY logo was incorporated.  Upon logo's acceptance by PCARC, numerous unsuccessful attempts were made to convert the background color from white to greenish-gray, (or to be transparent which would provide a greenish-gray color) while leaving the call sign text white.  Choosing white backgrounds for web pages is often done for just this reason.  WIth increased web activity due to Field Day, this seemed to be the time to incorporate the layout change, albeit with a white background.  Let me know what you think.  Thanks,  Bill  K1UQ  PCARC Webmaster.

There are sometimes TWO ways to cast your ballot... voting here at the W1WQM Web Site Voting Booth, and on Yahoo Group's PCARC Reflector

Differences:
"POLLS" is the terminology W1WQM.ORG will use when referring to the PCARC Group on the Yahoo Reflector.  The PCARC Reflector is independent of W1WQM.ORG and is managed separately.  The Reflector requires you register with Yahoo.  Not a difficult process, but none the less it is required.

" VOTING" is the terminology W1WQM.ORG will use when referring to voting here at W1WQM.ORG.

Whenever you hear about Voting, check the "PCARC Voting Booth"
